Comic Sans For Cancer
Earlier this week I went along to the opening of the Comic Sans for Cancer exhibition inspired by the 20th anniversary of type designer, Vincent Connare’s clownish typeface.
Around 200 designs from 34 countries were invited to illustrate what the typeface means to them. Posters, featuring the typeface ‘everybody loves to hate’, were are being sold to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Due to the character of the typeface combined with of the subject matter, the excellent collection of designs lean toward the quirky and amusing. London based, Vincent Connare was at the event and giving it his full support, signing books and copies of the poster that that he’d submitted (featuring his normally placid cat, above).

Production on Marvel's 'Ant-Man' has begun, and we've got your first look at Paul Rudd as Scott Lang to celebrate!
Working with Neutral Ground, I designed and illustrated this map of Ocarina of Time’s Hyrule. In addition to making sure the map displayed the correct form of Hylian (Hyrule’s ever-changing language), I played through the most recent 3DS version of Ocarina of Time to ensure the cartography was equally faithful. Doing so helped to make sure the already dense map was full of little details and suprises, like Lord Jabu-Jabu in Zora’s Fountain, and the Royal Family’s tomb in the Kakariko Village Graveyard.
After illustrating the map, I handed it off to Neutral Ground, where they were laser engraved onto 18″ x 24″ pieces of hand-selected wood.
Sign up to be notified when the maps will be available for purchase at Neutral Ground’s shop.

Wow. All epic fan art should be laser engraved.
Nope, you’re not dreaming. An independent group called Pilot Study is working on Inceptor, a competitive board game for two to five players. Based on Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi heist movie Inception, the game is about assembling a team of specialists who will plant an idea in someone’s mind.
